Built for Cisco CCNP Enterprise · ENCOR + ENARSI

CCNP lab online — master advanced routing on the Cisco CLI

Configure BGP, OSPF and redistribution, design STP and first-hop redundancy, and troubleshoot enterprise faults on IOS, NX-OS and ASA — all in a browser tab. No IOS images to source, no heavy emulator, no gigabytes of RAM. It even runs on a Chromebook.

The CCNP Enterprise is where routing stops being recipes and starts being judgement: why a route was chosen, where a redistribution loop hides, how a BGP policy really behaves. You don't build that from videos — you build it by configuring and breaking realistic topologies. PractiCLI gives you a Cisco command line across IOS, NX-OS and ASA, where supported show, debug and configure commands behave the way they do on the exam and in production.

The ENCOR + ENARSI blueprint

What you practice in the CCNP lab

The hands-on core of both exams — built from scratch, verified with real output, and broken on purpose so you learn to fix it.

Advanced routing

OSPF multi-area and LSA behavior, EIGRP named mode, summarization, filtering and authentication.

BGP

eBGP and iBGP, path attributes, prefix-lists and route-maps to shape and filter routes.

Redistribution & policy

Redistributing between protocols with route-maps and tags — and preventing routing loops.

Enterprise switching

STP, RSTP and MST root design, EtherChannel, and first-hop redundancy with HSRP, VRRP and GLBP.

Services & security

NAT, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, NetFlow and IP SLA, plus ACLs, CoPP, AAA and device hardening.

Verification & troubleshooting

Reading show and debug output, isolating a Layer-3 fault, and proving the fix end to end.

The method

Three ways to train, not just a sandbox

A path from guided configuration to diagnosing a fault you can't yet see — the way ENARSI troubleshooting and the exam labs actually test you.

01 · Guided labs

Build it, step by step

Scenarios with clear objectives and automatic checks: you configure the routing policy, you verify, and the lab confirms whether it's correct.

02 · Fault troubleshooting

Break it, fix it

A realistic fault is injected — a redistribution loop, a broken BGP session, a wrong STP root — a ticket opens, and it closes only when you actually fix it.

03 · PBQ practice

Pass the exam tasks

Performance-based questions in exam style: not multiple choice, but tasks to carry out on the device, with scoring.

How the certification works

Two exams: one core, one concentration

CCNP Enterprise is earned by passing ENCOR 350-401 (the core exam) plus one concentration — most candidates choose ENARSI 300-410 (Advanced Routing and Services). Both lean heavily on hands-on configuration and troubleshooting, and the certification is valid for three years. The decisive edge isn't re-reading the blueprint — it's time on a command line, reproducing the configs and faults until they are automatic. That is exactly what PractiCLI is built for.

Honest comparison

Why not a rack or a heavy emulator?

Real gear and emulators like CML, EVE-NG or GNS3 are powerful — but they put a wall between you and your first lab.

Rack / CML / EVE-NG

  • A full environment to install, size and maintain
  • Heavy on CPU and RAM — not a Chromebook job
  • Long build times before you configure anything
  • No guided objectives, no injected faults with scoring
  • No performance-based (PBQ) exam practice

PractiCLI

  • Opens in the browser — no images, even on a Chromebook
  • IOS, NX-OS and ASA ready in under a second
  • 400+ break/fix faults with a ticket to close
  • Guided labs with automatic verification
  • 900+ PBQ-style questions with scoring

PractiCLI focuses on the command line, adds break/fix troubleshooting and exam-style questions, and the same plan spans multiple vendors. Already CCNA-certified? See the CCNA lab, or read simulation vs emulation for how the engine works.

// FAQ

CCNP lab — common questions

Does it cover CCNP ENCOR and ENARSI topics?
Yes. The CCNP track covers advanced routing (OSPF multi-area, EIGRP, BGP), route redistribution and policy with route-maps, enterprise switching (STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel), first-hop redundancy (HSRP/VRRP/GLBP), infrastructure services and security — the hands-on core of ENCOR 350-401 and ENARSI 300-410, on IOS, NX-OS and ASA.
Do I need real IOS images or a powerful PC?
No. The CCNP lab opens in a browser tab — no IOS images to source, no heavy emulator, no gigabytes of RAM. It works on light machines and Chromebooks too.
Is it enough to pass CCNP?
PractiCLI is a strong hands-on complement for the CLI configuration and troubleshooting that the exam labs test. The conceptual and design domains — SD-WAN, SD-Access, automation — also need study, and the official exam is sat at Cisco's test provider. No lab can guarantee a result, but time on a command line is what makes the hands-on tasks automatic.
Does it include NX-OS and ASA, not just IOS?
Yes. Alongside Cisco IOS you practice on NX-OS and ASA command lines, so you cover the enterprise and data-center syntax that CCNP-level work and exams expect.
